5 Cancer-Causing Food Items That You Probably Eat Every Day.

Do you know that the chances of getting cancer are now 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men according to recent studies by the American Cancer Society? Scary, right? The fact that the studies revealed further the presence of carcinogenic (cancer-causing) elements in what we eat every day is even more troubling. Items we eat as a staple of our everyday diet can in fact be the real reason behind cancer!

It would not be wise, however, to give up any healthy food you eat in fear of causing cancer. It 's important you do your research, learn about and avoid the food items that cause cancer.

So get you started here is a list of 5 food products that cause cancer that you actually eat every day.

  • French Fries
– French fries or potato chips are among every 20-something that's a staple diet. Those staples of fast food are deeply fried in hydrogenated vegetable oil and then salted heavily. You will also be conscious that too much salt raises the risk of high blood pressure. To add to the trouble they produce high levels of acrylamide when food products are heated above a certain temperature. Do you know that acrylamide is present in industrial building materials and in cigarette smoke? The same chemicals are present in French fries, which therefore contribute to increased cancer risks.

  • Red Meat
– There's always been a mild concern regarding the consumption of red meat and eventually the suspicions were verified – red meat raises cancer risks. Red meat contains a sugar molecule, Neu5Gc, which becomes a part of the cells of the body when eaten, according to a report published by the San Diego Union tribune. When the body's immune system continues to fight it, the chance of cancer is further increased. Yet wait ...... wait. Only not to be disheartened yet. You don't have to cut back on eating red meat entirely but consider reducing it to reduce the risk.

  • Soda-Soda
is something we all have in one way or another. And it comes as a relief especially during the summer seasons, and the consumption increases. But, did you know your insulin levels can spike with soda? It contributes to feeding the cancer cells as the insulin levels are quickly spike. A major culprit of cancer, fructose, is present in soda in excess. What actually happens is that soda causes your body to acidify, and thereby urges cancer cells to multiply. So, if you can skip soda altogether it will be really good for you.

  • White Flour Refined-Bleached food.
Does that sound good even for you? No, huh? Since they are not. The traces of the chemicals remain in the milk, and also, highly processed flour contains high carbohydrate content that upsets the sugar balance in the blood. Your insulin production will again increase , leading to cancer cells multiplying. It is highly recommended that you avoid highly refined carbohydrates, such as white pasta, white bread, white rice, concentrated fruit juice and so on.

  • Canned tomatoes
– Tomatoes are normally an integral part of a healthy diet. But, when canned, they can be extremely dangerous. In addition, the lining of the can has a chemical compound called bisphenol-a (BPA). Because BPA displays signs of altering brain chemistry, the FDA is very concerned. Since tomatoes are already acidic in nature, this results in the BPA being easily bleached. This is particularly harmful to CHILDREN. Be free, and avoid the tomatoes canned. Go for brand new ones. They 're so much safer and stronger.
